Exhibitions during the Hanse Convention in Lippstadt
The artistic aspects should not miss out during the Hanse Convention. During but also beyond the days of the Hanse Convention there are numerous different exhibitions, which take place in the city of Lippstadt. Some exhibitions and locations are already fixed, others have still to be planned. Therefore we will provide you a small overview about some expected artistic contributions:
HANSE-Art
With the title FRAGILE - "an artistic play for everyone", the HANSE-Art project takes place in Lippstadt the 1st time during an International Hanse Convention. 14 arstists from 14 hanseatic cities and 6 European countries present their art works in 14 wooden cubes. The cube will be located in selected and exposed places in the city centre of Lippstadt.
Otmar Alt Ausstellung
- Gallery, Blumenstraße 15 from 18. April – 16. Mai 2007.
Opening hours thursdays till sundays from 14 – 19 h,
during the Hanse Convention from 10 - 19 h, admission free
A total of 60 exhibits will be on show, including etchings, lithographs, screen printing and works in acrylic on canvas and hand-made paper. The artist Otmar Alt (67) belongs to the representatives of the New Figuration. Besides painting, he is also a sculptor and designer. In 1991 he set up a Hamm-based foundation to promote the work of young artists.
The exhibition will be open until 16th May. On request, schools and other groups also have the possibility of visiting the exhibition in the mornings. The exhibition is being organised by the foundation set up by the Sparkasse to promote the work of artists.
“200 years St. Nicolai”
The association of friends and promoters of the municipal museum of local history organises in cooperation with the St. Nicolai church and with friendly support of the department of archive and museum from 5th until 13th may 2007 an exhibition in the Nicolai church with the title: “200 years St. Nicolai”. The presentation of exhibits, which are connected with the Hanse, will take place in the side aisle of the church.

"Time - Room - Art"
Another project will be initiated by Lippstadt's association of art. There will be a group exhibition under the title “Time-Room-Art” from 6th until 24th June in the gallery rooms Am Speelbrink. Further information will be available on the website http://www.kunstverein-lippstadt.de/
"Inspired by youth"
After the realisation of the 1st youthHansa Music and Art Festivals 2005 in Lippstadt the touring "Inspired by youth" exhibition was developed. The exhibition can be booked by the hanseatic cities and travelled already through Europe. During the Hanse Convention in Lippstadt the exhibition will be shown in the youth center Shalom, Brüderstraße.
Shooting Club Lippstadt
At the Hanse Convention the shooting club Lippstadt will hand over a new exhibition and cultural centre as a present to the citizens. The “house for culture and tradition” will be opened in the Schauroth Palais. Because of the 475 years existence of the shooting club an exhibition was arranged in the municipal museum of local history, meanwhile there is a lack of room for the numerous exhibits. Opening hours: 11th / 12th / 13th May from 11.00 - 17.00 h

Exhibition „colourful palette from Uden“
Nelly van den Elzen and Ria van Lanen paint already for a long time, but independent from each other and at no time professional. Both work with a very colourful style but as well different in their expression and approach. The works are basically in oil and acryl.
Exhibition takes place in the rooms of the IKK, Klusetor 16. Vernissage on 4th May 16 o’clock, opening times from Monday to Friday 7 to 19 o’clock, during the Hanseatic Days also on Saturday and Sunday from 14 to 16 o’clock. End of the exhibition 29th June 2007.
4000 years safety features and equipment
The company ZIELKE organizes with different partners an exhibition about the development of safety features and equipment from the antiquity until the present. There are exhibited different rare exponents from keys, locks, fittings and safes and modern access control systems. The exhibition during the International Hanse Convention from 10th until 13th May is opened daily to the business hours in the house Lange Straße 82 (close to Intersport Arndt).
